dissolving means some solute dissolve (mix)in solvent .....like sugar mix in water that is called dissolving....
Dissolving different from diffusion
diffusion is slow process ......amount is substance (mix)goes from higher concentration to lower concentration .....
diffusion is different from dissolving .... dissolving word used for some substance mixing in liquid but diffusion is for mix a some in liquid as well as in air also.....
