What is dispersion of light? Give example from nature to example​

Splitting of white light into colours (VIBGYOR) is called Dispersion. The natural example for dispersion of light is formation of Rainbow. It is caused by dispersion of sunlight by tiny water droplets present in atmosphere which act as small prisms.
