Displacement is the shortest distance from its initial position to final position

Consider yourself that you you are going to a shop which is situated right opposite to your home and you go to school and then you reach this shop this is not your displacement.This is your distance but no matter what the distance btw your home and shop doesn't change right

No matter how much ever places you visit displacement is fixed for initial as well as final position

It is a vector quantity

It is independent of the path traveled

Considered as the shortest distance from one point to another
