for ex- Fe + CuSO4 reacts with each other and gives Feso4 + cu

in the above reaction iron is more reactive than copper so it displaces copper from its compound......

it can be explained as...

A+B-C----->A-C+B

here A ,B should be a metal and C is an anion.
