short path covered by an object with respect to time is known as diplacement

Explanation:

in si system,unit of displacement is metre and in cgs system, unit of displacement is centimetre

ex:an object travels 3km towards east and then 4km towards south . the total distance travelled by the object is oa+ab=3km+4km=7km,but the displacement of the object is ob =5km in the direction making of 53degree due south of east

{\mathfrak{\red{\underline{\underline{Displacement\;Reaction:-}}}}}

Displacement reaction is a chemical reaction in which a high reactive element displace less reactive metal from its compound. Both metals and non- metals take part in take part in displacement reaction.

AB + C ➡️ AC + B.

For Example :-

An example is the reaction between iron and copper sulphate to produce iron sulphate and copper.

Fe + CuSO4 ➡️ FeSO4 + Cu

Here, both iron and copper have the same valence. One metal cation takes place of other bonding to the sulphate anion.

Chemical Reaction :-

Chemical reaction is defined as the process which leads to transformation of chemical substances from one form to another. In a chemical reaction the substance undergoing transformation are called reactant and the new substances that are formed are called products.

For example A + B ➡️ C + D represents a chemical reaction in which reactants A and B undergo transformation to form products C and D.

The transformation can occur by combination of more than one reactant, decomposition of a reactant and displacement of atom or molecules in one reactant by atoms or molecules of other reactants.
