A displacement reaction is a type of reaction where part of one reactant is replaced by another reactant.

Fe + CuSO4 ---> FeSO4 + Cu

Displacement reaction is a reaction in which more reactive metal displaces the other.

For eg-:

Zn+CuSO4->ZnSO4+Cu

Pb+CuCl2->PbCl2+Cu
