hello friend
here is your answer
distance is the actual distance covered by the body but displacement is the shortest distance between initial and final point.
distance is a scalar quantity and displacement is a vector quantity
distance has no direction but displacement has direction
distance by time is equal to speed but displacement by time is equal to velocity
hope this will help you my friend

Hey mate!

Here's your answer!!

*⃣DISTANCE

◾️Distance is the total path length covered by an object during a given time.

◾️Distance has a magnitude only and no direction. Thus, distance is a scalar.

◾️Distance is always taken positive.

◾️Distance can never have a magnitude less than that of displacement.

*⃣DISPLACEMENT

◾️Displacement during a given time is the shortest distance measured from initial position to final position to the object.

◾️Displacement is characterized by it's magnitude as well as direction. Thus, it is a vector.

◾️Displacement can be positive or negative or even zero.

◾️Magnitude of displacement is either equal to or less than that of distance covered during the same time.

hope \: it \: helps \: you.
