distillation is a process of heating the liquid to form the weather and then cooling the vapour to get back liquid

in other words it is a process by which we can separate two liquids of different boiling points.
in this process if the two liquid are together and then the liquid which has lower boiling point as compared to the another liquid it gets changes into vapour and thus we separates out and again condensate to get back in the liquid hence we separated the two different liquids of different boiling points.
