in multicellular organism the life sustaining activities are not done by single cell or single cell organelle. each and every work is done through each and every cell. a same type is cell form a tissue. a same type of tissue form a organ. a same function of organ from organ system. for example respiration process is done through respiratory organs like nose tracea etc

In a multicellular organisms different body parts perform different functions . This is called division of labour . For example , humans have heart to pump blood and stomach to digest food etc.
