Dobereiner .

1829 a German chemist dobereiner object set an element have similar properties that put together in groups of 3 elements each.

these groups of 3 elements are called traids.

according to his law : when elements are arranged in order of increasing atomic masses group of three elements having similar properties are obtained.the atomic mass of the middle element of the trade being equal to the automatic mean of the atomic masses of the other two elements.

example of his traid

1) lithium atmoic mass 7

2)sodium atomic mass 23

3) potassium atomic mass 39

arithmetic mean of atomic masses of lithium and potassium=( 7+39)/2

= 23

there are other examples also

limitation of law :

it is failed to arrange all the the then known, elements in the form of trade of elements
