Dolipore septa are specialized dividing walls between the cells (septa) which seperates cells within a hypha. These are  found in the species of fungi (Basidiomycetes). They have a barrel-shaped swelling around their central pore. These structures are capped at end by specialized membranes, called parthenosomes or pore caps. These allow the flow of cytoplasm, cell nuclei, mitochondria across the hypha.

In majority of the basidiomycetes the septum is characterized by the presence of a septal pore in the center. The pore remain surrounded by the Barrel-shaped swellings. this spore is called Dolipore septum. it maintain the cytoplasm continuity but prohibited nuclear migration.
