dominant gene means the character that is expressed in the individual. the individual receives two set of genes from mother and father but only one gene appears in the individual over the other so it means that this gene is dominant gene and the other gene is called as recessive gene.
genotype means the inner traits that cannot be seen with our naked eyes
phenotype means the outer traits that can be seen with our naked eye

The dominant gene is that gene which express itself.
The recessive gene is that gene which is unable to express itself.
The genotype is the part of the genetic makeup of a cell, and therefore of any individual, which determines one of its characteristics.
The phenotype of an organism is the composite of the organism's observable characteristics or traits, including as its morphology or physical form and structure; its developmental processes; its biochemical and physiological properties; its behavior, and the products of behavior.
