an increase (or decrease) in the frequency of sound, light, or other waves as the source and observer move towards (or away from) each other. The effect causes the sudden change in pitch noticeable in a passing siren, as well as the red shift seen by astronomers.

Its direction is perpendicular to force u apple and radial vector u take .like force produces accelaration. torque produces angular accleration ,and produce angular motion
whereas centripetal force is one which is necessary for a body to move in circular path. u cant have centripetal force by itself , u need some other force to provide the centripetal force which keeps body in circle.

It says that as the disance between the sound source and listener increase, the sound fades, the reason being, the vibrations have to cover a longer distance
