• To protect from environment as destructive effect of oxygen & humidity.
• To protect from the destructive effect of gastric acid after oral administration. E.g., Enteric Coated tablets.
• To conceal the bitter, salty , nosious odour of drug substance. E.g., Capsule and coated tablets.
