The majority of mammals (including humans) utilize a double circulatory system. This means we have two loops in our body in which blood circulates. One is oxygenated, meaning oxygen rich, and the other is deoxygenated, which means it has little to no oxygen, but a lot of carbon dioxide.

Heya !!!
The circulation in which the blood passes twice through the heart is called double circulation...
The best explanation can be given through the circulation in human beings....
The deoxygenated blood is carried from different body parts by vena cava to the right Auricle then it passes into right Ventricle...then the blood is pumped into Pulmonary artery that carries the deoxygenated blood from heart to the lungs to get it oxygenated...From the lungs the oxygenated blood is carried by pulmonary vein to the heart...
The oxygenated blood is received by left Auricle then it passes into Left Ventricle ...then the oxygen blood is pumped to different body parts by Aorta , Arteries and blood capillaries...
Here the blood passes twice through the heart... hence this type of circulation is called Double circulation...
Hope this helps you :)
