In a Double Circulatory system, blood is pumped twice. Once from the heart to the lungs and then from heart to rest of the body. This helps in maintaining pressure of the blood unlike Single Circulatory system where blood is pumped once and pressure of the blood is not maintained. When pressure is maintained oxygenated blood reaches the organs much faster.Unlike Single Circulatory system where blood does not reach the organs faster.

Answer:

  • The oxygenated blood from the lungs returns to the heart, which is pumped again into different parts of the body by the heart. Thus, the blood passes twice through the heart making one complete round through the body. This is called double circulation.
