Double displacement reaction is a reaction in which new compounds are formed by mutual exchange of ions between two compound.

Example :-

=> Na2SO4 + BaCl2→ BaSO4 + 2NaCl.

=> 2KI + Pb(NO3)2→ PbI2 + 2KNO3.
