In flowering plants fertilization takes place at two places one between axel and Male gamete called as Syngamy and another with polar nuclei and male gamete called as Triple fusion together called as Double fertilization.

Explanation:

One of the male gametes migrates towards the egg and fuses with it to form the zygote(2n).This is called Syngamy.

The other male gamete fuses with the secondary nucleus or polar nuclei which later forms endosperms(3n).Endosperms provide nutrition to developing embryo. This process is called as Triple fusion.
