double fertilization occurs in plants...when male gamete fuses with female gamete to form zygote then it is called syngamy...the other male gamete fuses with the two pollen nuclei to form endosperm...this fusion of one male gamete with two pollen nuclei is called triple fusion.....in the ovary...two fusion takes place...these are syngamy and triple fusion....these two processes is called double fertilization
