Double fertilisation: It is the process of fusion of one male gamete with the egg nucleus and another male gamete with the polar nuclei or secondary nucleus is called double fertilisation. In all angiosperm plants, there is double fertilisation.

Significance: The triploid nucleus is endosperm nucleus developed to form an endosperm which provides nourishment to the developing improve resulting in the formation of healthy seed and plant.
