Answer:

Drag is the frictional force exerted by a fluid on an object.

What is a fluid?

Fluids consists of both liquids and gases. For example air, water, oxygen, honey, nitrogen, hydrogen, helium, mercury, oil, etc. are all fluids.

☆ The two most common fluids around us are air and water.

On which objects drag is applied?

Objects moving through fluids such as cars, aeroplanes, boats, etc. experience drag as tgey move through the fluids.

How can we reduce drag?

Drag can be reduced by giving a special shape called streamlined shape to the objects moving through the fluids. When an object having a streamlined shape moves very fast through a fluid, then the fluid can flow past the moving object smoothly, reducing the drag.
