Dry ice is the solid form of ice .

Process of preparation of dry ice :-

What is dry ice?

Dry ice is the common name for solid carbon-di-oxide (CO2). When the dry ice is heated it directly changes in gas without going through the liquid state (this process is called sublimation). It is used as a cooling agent. It is frequently use to package items that must be remain cold without using mechanical cooling.

How it is prepared?

1. The Co2 gas is pressurized and cooled untill it changes into liquid form.

2. When the  temperature rapidly going down the cold solidify liquid into the
shape of snow.

3. Then these snow like Co2 is compressed into small boxes of dry ice.
