When carbon dioxide expands at a pressure of 70 atmosphere and 20°C through a nozzle, it solidifies to form solid carbon dioxide, called, dry ice.
Uses :-
• It produces very low temperature and hence is used for food preservation.
• Secondary being a suitable compound it is used on stage to give the effect of clouds.
