Dry ice is solidified carbon dioxide. If carbon dioxide is cooled to -80°C, it turns into dry ice.

When dry ice receives heat, it directly changes into gas without turning into liquid.

Some properties if dry ice are:

• Colourless
• Odourless
• White opaque solid.
• Molecular weight is 44.01
