Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only astronomical object known where life exist.

The Earth has four layers: the solid crust on the outside, the mantle and the core — split between the outer core and the inner core.

Formation of different layers of earth:

  1. Dense materials sank to the center which formed the core of earth.
  2. Lighter buoyant silicate-rich magma rose to surface and formed the crust.
  3. The remaining material between the core and the magma formed Earth's thickest layer, called the mantle.

Here is your complete answer.

Earth is the third nearest planet from the sun in the solar system, the Earth is the only planet having life because of presence of water, stable environment, (oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide) in air and average surface temperature (10°C – 15°C).

Layers of Earth:

When we go up in the sky, we'll find five layers of atmosphere,

1) Troposphere: Range: 0 to 20km

It is the lowermost layer of Earth's atmosphere having life and different types of weather phenomena.

2) Stratosphere: Range: 20 to 50km

This is the second layer of Earth's atmosphere from ground. Has a very low temperature and has ozone gas which stops UV rays from entering the atmosphere.

3) Mesosphere: Range: 50 to 80km

This is the third layer of the Earth's atmosphere from ground. All the space rocks and meteorite gets burnt in this place. From this layer the Earth's gravity becomes effective.

4) Thermosphere: Range: 80 to 800 km

This is the fourth layer of the Earth's atmosphere from ground. All the communication signals travel from this layer. Also polar satellites are also found in this layer.

5) Exosphere: Range: 800 to 10000km

It is the topmost layer of the Earth's atmosphere.

Only light gases and geostationary satellites are found in this layer.

When we go inside the Earth:

1) Crust: It is the first layer of the Earth in which all the life forms appear, this layer has a wide range of nutrients and minerals. It has a low temperature of only 15 to 35°C.

Range: 0 to 35km

2) Mantle: It is the second layer of the Earth. Here everything is found in semisolid and liquid state, this layer has iron, nickel, magnesium, copper, etc. Due to temperature all the rocks get converted to semisolid state. Temperature: 300 to 1200°C

Range: 35 to 2900km.

3) Core: It is the third layer of the Earth. Here everything is found in liquid state, this layer has mainly iron, nickel and cobalt. This layer has a very high temperature of 2000 to 3000°C.

Range: 2900 to 5100km.

4) Inner Core: It is the fourth layer of the Earth. Here due to extremely high pressure all the materials are in solid state, this layer has mainly iron and nickel. This layerhas a temperature of ~6000°C.

Range: 5100 to 6370km.

I hope this is sufficient to help you...
