India's eastern region consists of co-ordinates that are north, south, east or west than other Indian location which is highest and lowest altitudes in India.

Easternmost region of India is a boundary disputed between India and Pakistan.

Exception of Kanyakumari the southern-most location of India and all other locations are uninhabited.

Some consider Indira point as extreme tip but consideration is neither right/wrong.

Answer:

The easternmost longitude of India is 97° 25′ E. It is located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The westernmost longitude is 68o7'E. Due to the great longitudinal extent of east-west ends about 29°, there could be wide differences in local time of places located at two extreme points of India.
