This is included in class 9th syllabus. Chapter- Diversity in Living Organisms.

Echinodermata is a 'phylum' of organisms in layman language. They are exclusively marine organisms belonging to kingdom animalia. Sea stars, sea cucumbers and sea urchins are some examples of organisms that belong to the echinodermata class.

Basically, organisms are classified into a hierarchy as follows-

                                         Kingdom

                                         Phylum

                                         Class

                                         Order

                                         Family

                                         Genus

                                         Species

Each of these groups contain many organisms. The number of organisms increase when we go up i.e. Kingdom will have more organisms than a species. For e.g. "Animalia" is a kingdom whereas "Canis lupus familiaris" are a species of dogs.

I hope this helps you :)
