Ecotone is basically a transition zone between two biomes. It is where two communities actually meet and integrate.
Ecocline is a physical transition zone. It is a variation of the physicochemical Environment of one or two physicochemical factors.
Now people usually confuse both of this concepts.
The simple difference between these two is that ecotone is basically related with variation in species prevalence while ecocline is related majorly with variation of (halocline) salinity,(chemocline) chemical or (pycnocline)density of water.
