Generally, in all types of ectopic pregnancies, the fertilized egg or embryo are implanted in the fallopian tubes and hence, it is also called tubal pregnancy. But fallopian tubes are not equipped with all the features of carrying an embryo so this type of pregnancy has to be treated.
