Ectoplasm is the more viscous ,clear outer layer of the cytoplasm in amoeboid cells. It steers the direction of the cells by extending itself into a pseudopodium.

Endoplasm is the fluid, granular inner layer of the cytoplasm in amoeboid cells. The flowing of it in different directions helps to move the amoeboid cells.
