A localized electric current included in a conductor by a varying magnetic field is called as eddy current.

when a conductor is pass through variable magnetic field ..then current of small magnitude is induced in it..is called eddy current...
But remember one thing...
CONDUCTOR SHOULD BE NEUTRAL ..AND SMALL SLITS IS CUT IN THE CONDUCTOR ...
small slits is cut in the conductor because when conductor is passes through magnetic field it cuts the flux and more the flux cut more the current produced...
FLUX:--it is the no of magnetic feild lines passes through a given area..
