When pressure increases, the volume of the gases decreases. When pressure decreases, the volume of the gases increases.

By the use of Boyle's law we can explain effect of pressure on real gases. {see attached}.

*Acc. to graphical representation, following results were obtained:-)

1) At low pressure, value of Z nearly one four real gases i. e. they behave as ideal gas.

2) lf Z>1 then positive deviation takes place which means gases are compressible comma because their molecular mass is less ( H2 and He) .

3)lf Z<1 then negative deviation takes place which means gases are compressible because their molecular mass is more (CO and CH4) .
