what is effect on the interference fringes in a young double slit experiment due to following
(1)screen is moved away from the plane of the slits.
(2)the monochromatic source is replaced by another monochromatic source of shorter wavelength
(3) the monochromatic source is replaced by another monochromatic source of longer wavelength
(4)slit width is increased.
(5)monochromatic light is replaced by white light.

1) fringe will be increase
2) fringe will be decrease
3) fringe will be increase
4) fringe will be decrease
all of the above answer is based to the formula width = wavelength× distance between the stlits and the screen/ distance between the slit .
5) in white light interference only on central bright has max brightness as all the colours have max at centre .

HOPE THIS HELPS IF YOU LIKE THE ANS THEN PLS MARK IT AS BRAINLIEST PLS PLS IT'S URGENT

Answer:

So if monochromatic light in Young's double-slit experiment is replaced by white light, then the waves of every wavelength form their separate interference patterns. ... Hence the waves of all colors reach a middle point R in the same phase. So the central fringe is white.
