Hello there!

Ego is another component and as per Freud's explanation it's a thinking with rationality in different provided aspects to the individual and functioning on a popular well known reality principle.

Ego is developed by a mere age of 6 years and is more often referred as to a main managing director of the personality as to it has been given the name just because it's having the ability to control the desiring impulses given off by the first pre-mature and primitive component called as the ID which always tries the human body to get satisfied no matter what is the motive or harm done to the humanity or it's required senses.

In either ways EGO tries to balance and keep the incoming and outgoing desires as equal as possible. It does so by striking a very very slight just-needed balance in order to maintain the instinctual capabilities to release anytime. Doing so the reality is chosen as a mindful actual reality.

Component of EGO as said previously simply approaches a neutrality and conserves or discards the se.xual drives of ID along with its basic instinctual properties. It also balances superego and somewhat focuses on the demands of reality as well.

When the component of EGO is properly controlled then, the individual is said to've a really well balanced personality, just perfect not to be attained by every human.

Hope this helps and clears the doubts for EGO according to it's psychology!
