An electric current is a flow of electric charge. In electric circuits this chargeis often carried by electrons moving through a wire. It can also be carried by ions in an electrolyte, or by both ions and electrons such as in an ionized gas

Briefly on -

Electric current, Electricity and, Electron.

Explanation:

Electric current -

Just as water moves from the higher plane to the lower plane, similarly the charge also moves from the higher electric plane (higher electric potential) to the lower electric plane (lower potential), this current of charge is called electric current.

It implies, the value of charge flowing through a transverse cut per unit time is called electric current, let Q be the charge passing through the transverse cut in t time, then by definition

Electric current = Q / t.

Electricity -

A form of electric energy that is caused by the movement of charged particles, known as electrons. Electricity and its related phenomena have been studied for thousands of years, but have not been fully understood until the last two centuries.

Electron -

The electron is a sub-atomic particle, here subatomic means particles that are less than the size of an atom or, in other words, we can say that the particles that make up a substance. Hence, electron is also one of the particles from which a substance is formed.
