Electric power:

Electric power is defined as the rate of consumption of energy or simply the rate of doing work.

That is:

\boxed{\sf{Power\:(P) =  \frac{Work \: done\:(W)}{Time\:(t)}}}

And:

The work done by current (I) when it flows in a potential (V) for time (t) can be given by:

\implies \boxed{\sf{W = VIt}}

\implies \boxed{\sf{Power\:(P)= \frac{VIt}{t}  = VI}}

Therefore:

Electric power (P) = VI

Note: The SI unit of power is Watts (W).

hello nice to meet you....

Electric Power is the rate, per unit time, at which electrical energy is transferred by an electric circuit.

The SI unit of power is the watt, one joule per second.

Electric power is usually produced by electric generators, but can also be supplied by sources such as electric batteries.
