Hi...............

A series in which the metals are listed in the order of their chemical reactivity, the most active at the top and the less reactive or more “noble” metals at the bottom.

hello dear brother...!!!

•ELECTRO CHEMICAL SERIES :

• various electrodes have different standard reduction potential, the arrangement of increasing order of standard reduction potential is known as electro chemical series.

• this also includes the activity series of metals because the relative activity of metals can be obtained by comparing their oxidation potential.

• the series helps to compare the relative oxidising and reducing powers.
in this case, if the standard reduction potential of an electrode is greater than zero, then it's reduced form is more stable compared to H2 gas.

• greater the oxidation potential of a metal, more easily it can lose electron (discharge potential) and hence greater is it's reactivity.

• electrochemical cells are used in the determination of pH of a solution, solubility product, equilibrium constant, thermodynamic properties and potentiometric titration.

I had attached the picture of series, hope it would give you some idea.
