Field of study
Electromagnetic or magnetic induction is the production of an electromotive force across an electrical conductor in a changing magnetic field. Michael Faraday is generally credited with the discovery of induction in 1831, and James Clerk Maxwell mathematically described it as Faraday's law of induction.

electromagnetic induction is a phenomenon in which electricity is produced by moving a magnet placed near a conductor ,,
it is observed by placing a coil join with a galvanometer to check current when we pass a bar magnet near it we will see some deflection hence it is due to production of electro motive force near the magnet..
it was discovered by Faraday
