the production of electricity from magnetism is called electomagnetic induction.
Fleming right hand rule
hold the thumb ,the forefinger and the center finger of your right hand at right angles to one another . adjust your hand in such a way that forefinger points in direction of magnetic field and thumb points in the direction of motion of comductor, then the direction in which centre finger points, gives the direction of induced current in the conductor.

Electric motor
a motor is a device which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.
Principle of a motor
it utilizes the magnetic effect of current
a motor works on the principle that when a rectangular coil is placed in a magnetic field and current is passed through it a force acts on the coil which acts on the coil which rotates it continuously.
Electric generator
it converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. principle
the electric motor works on the principle that when a straight conductor is moved in a magnetic field then current is induced i n conductor.
