In these types of waves , electric and magnetic fields are associated with them.
=> These waves consist of electric and magnetic fields that oscillates perpendicular to each other and both are perpendicular to the direction in which the wave propagates.
=> All electromagnetic waves travel with the same speed. In vacuum , the speed of all types of electromagnetic radiation is 3 × 10^8 m/s .
this speed is called constant (c).
=> Electromagnetic waves do not require any medium for propagation.

These electric and magnetic waves travel perpendicular to each other and have certain characteristics, including amplitude, wavelength, and frequency. General Properties of all electromagnetic radiation: Electromagnetic radiation can travel through empty space.
•Every form of electromagnetic radiation, including visible light
• oscillates in a periodic fashion with peaks and valleys
•displaying a characteristic amplitude, wavelength
•frequency that defines the direction,
energy and intensity of the radiation.
