HEY WELCOME TO MY PERFECT ANSWER -:)
⭕Electronic Shells⭕
↪The Bohr's model of atom says that an atom has a central nucleus which contains protons and neutrons. Electrons, on the other hand, revolve in a circular electron shells at specific distances from the nucleus. So electron shell or electron orbit is a path that particular set of electrons follow around the nucleus.
↪Each electron shell has a different energy level associated with it. Hence, we can say that electrons reside in discrete energy levels in an atom. The shells closest to the nucleus are lower in energy than those away from the nucleus.
↪It is common practice to assign a number and the symbol 'n' to electron shells. For example, the electron shell closest to the nucleus is called .
↪However, there's another convention which names the electron shells as K, L, M, N etc. The shell closest to the nucleus is K, followed by second shell L, and so on.
↪Hence, each of the electron shell consists of fixed number of electrons and has a specific energy level associated with it.

Answer:
An electron shell is the outside part of the an atom of around nucleus. Electrons are held inside these shells. It is the group of atomic orbitals with the same value of principal quantum number n. Electron shells have one or more than one subshells .Each shell contain fixed number of electrons. First shell contain 2 electrons , second contain (2+6) electrons and third shell can hold (2+6+10) electrons and so on.
