Electropating-The process of depositing a thin and uniform layer of a metal on any conducting surface is called electroplating.

1. In this process the conducting material to be electroplated is made cathode and the metal whose coating is required on the cathode material is used as anode.

2. A soluble salt which contains ions and anode materials is taken as electrolyte when the current is passed through the circuit following reactions takes place.

3. Atta noodles addition of metal atom to be quoted on quoted material takes place.

M------Mp+pe

The Mp+ ions moves towards the negatively charged cathode through the electrolyte.

hope it helps you ☺️

Electroplating is known as electrodeposition because the process involves depositing a thin layer of metal onto the surface of a work piece, which is referred to as the substrate. An electric current is used to cause the desired reaction.
