Answer:

The valency of the elements that enables their atoms to combine wih one another through direct transfer (loss or gain) of electrons and thereby forming ions [positive ion or cation by losing the electrons and negative ion or anion by gaining the electrons] which are held together atby electrostatic forces of attraction, is known as electrovalency The chemical bond between two atoms that is cformed by transfer of electrons from one atom to another is called electrovalent bond. As the bond lies between two oppositely charged ions, it is also called ionic bond.

adas31286: Electrovalency: The number of electrons lost or gained by an atom to get stable electronic configuration in forming ionic bond is called its electrovalency.

Answer:

Electrovalency is a measurement of the net electric charge of an ion and is used when balancing chemical reactions. Electrovalency is related to the concepts of electronegativity and valence electrons, and indicates the number of electrons necessary for an ion to have a balanced electric charge.
