IONIC BOND OR ELECTROVALENT BOND.:

Chemical bond formed between two atoms due to transfer of electron(s) from one atom to the other. atom is called "Ionic bond" or "electrovalent bond"...

The presence of two oppositely charged ions results in strong attractive force between them . This force is the ionic or electrovalent bond.

EXAMPLES-: Combination of sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl) atoms to form sodium chloride (NaCl)

electrovalent bond is a type of linkage formed from the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions in a chemical compound. Such a bond forms when the valence (outermost) electrons of one atom are transferred permanently to another atom.
