end correction is a short distance applied or added to the actual lenght of resonance pipe in order to calculate the precise resonance frequency of the pipe . A simple notion is that the fundamental resonance of apipe occur when the resonator lenght is half or a quarter of the sound wavelength

END CORRECTION (e) :-

it was found that antinode is not formed exactly at the open end of organ pipe but due to finite momentum of particles , reflection takes place a little above the open end.and this addituonal lengh is called end correction (e).
