Endangered species is the taxon in which is facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild life of animals as well as plant in the immediate future.

In india, 44 plant species and 18 animal species are critically endangered respectively.

Ex:- Red panda and pigmy Hog in animals. Similarly benticia nicoberica and miricstica andmanica in plant are important endangered species.
