ENDCYTOSIS

Endocytosis is a process of osmosis in which materials move into the cell in a bulk or in a group. It is mainly divided into two types :-

1. PHAGOCYTOSIS

It is the process in which the outside solid materials move inside the cell in bulk or we can say that cell engulfs the solid materials outisde it. It is mainly known as "cell eating". Example :- Amoeba engulfing a food.

2. PINOCYTOSIS

It is a process by which cell drinks the outside materials or liquid materials move into cell in a bulk or in a group. Example:- Cells in the kidney use pinocytosis to separate nutrients and fluids from the urine.

Endocytosis is the process by which cells take in substances from outside of the cell by engulfing them in a vesicle .
