A collection of membranous structures involved in transport within the cell. The main components of the endomembrane system are endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, vesicles and cell membrane and nuclear envelope. The endomembrane system does not include the membranes of mitochondria or plastids.

\bf\underline{Answer:-}

A set or collection of membranes as well as some organelles in the cells of eukaryotes that gradually works together to modify, transport lipids and proteins, etc is known as the endonembrane system.

The components include :

• The nuclear membrane or envelope;

• The endoplasmic reticulum;

• Vesicles;

• Vacuoles;

• Lysosomes;

• The plasma or cell membrane; and

• the Gogli apparatus.

\bf\underline{Additional\:Information:-}

=> This system is genuinely composed of some particular membranes that are usually absent or suspended inside the cytoplasm within the cells of eukaryotes and these further divide the cell into functional, more broadly structural compartments as well, in other words known as the organelles.

=> Furthermore, this system does not include the membranes of the chloroplasts and/or mitochondria, but they might have evolved from the latter.
