What is endomembrane system? What cell organelles are not included in it? Why?

These are the membranes suspended in cytoplasm of cell and are connected directly or indirectly by vesicles etc . They include ER , Golgi body , vacoules Lysosomes etc . But do not include mitochondria and cholroplast as they ( mitochondria and cholroplast ) do not share their contents with other organelle .
