Answer:
An endothermic process is any process with an increase in the enthalpy H (or internal energy U) of the system. In such a process, a closed system usually absorbs thermal energy from its surroundings, which is heat transfer into the system.

A reaction in which the heat is absorbed by different reactants from the surrounding in order to form products is known as Endothermic reaction.
1) These type of reactions causes cooling effect.
- Reason - After absorbing heat, these reactions drastically reduces the atmosphere's temperature and hence, produces a cooling effect.
2) These type of reactions causes the formation of different bonds by the process of absorbing heat from the atmosphere.
3) Here, the enthalpy change ( depicted by ∆H ) is considered as postive.
4) Example of some endothermic reaction :-
- NH4Cl (s) + H2O (l) ⟶ NH4Cl (aq) – Heat
